Jacks Fall to Nationally Ranked Tetons

The Lumberjack Women's Basketball team fell to Nationally ranked Williston State College 93-36.

The Tetons came into the contest ranked 25th in the latest poll released by the NJCAAA on Monday. Both offenses started out slowly in the opening quarter. Over the final four and a half minutes the Tetons outscored the Jacks 13-2. After one quarter the Tetons led 21-8. In the second quarter the Jacks managed just 2 points and trailed at the half 46-10. The Jacks found a bit of a groove in the second half, but the deficit was too much the Tetons took the game 93-36.

Mel Upfield and Ava Gourd each had 10 points to lead the Jacks. Taylah Murtagh led the Tetons and all scorers with 24 points.

DCB falls to 3-20 overall and 0-7 inside the Mon-Dak. DCB hosts Lake Region State College on Wednesday at 5:30p.m.
