The Lumberjack Women's Basketball team fell Monday night to the Dickinson State University JV team 69-45.
The two teams traded baskets for most of the first quarter. The Jacks used a 47% field goal percentage to take a narrow 18-17 lead at the end of the opening 10 minutes. The Jacks struggled in the second quarter scoring just 5 points and shooting just 15% from the field. This allowed the BlueHawks to take a 36-23 halftime lead. The Jacks battled throughout the second half but were unable to cut into the DSU JV lead, falling by a final score of 69-45. Jersey Vogel led DCB with 18 points. She was joined in double figure by Kenya Poitra who finished with 10.
The Jacks wrap up the semester this weekend with a pair of road games Saturday and Sunday against the very same Bluehawks and then the University of Jamestown JV team. Game times are 12:00p.m. and 1:00p.m. CST.
