The Ladyjack basketball team won the Region XIII Championship and will now play in the District F Championship to see who will head to nationals. In the first game the Ladyjacks played a tough Gogebic CC team where they took an early lead at half, and really poured on the points in the third quarter. The Jacks won 76-65 and then were set to play United Tribes for the Championship. The championship game would be a touch matchup for the Jacks because last time they played there they were unable to get the victory. In the first half, the Jacks were able to gain a small two point lead. In the third quarter, the Thunderbirds still managed to stick with the Jacks, but in the fourth, the girls were able to seal the deal and win the Region. The Jacks will next travel to Nebraska to play the Region IX winner in the District F playoff.
