The Lumberjack Softball team had an offensive explosion Sunday night enroute to a sweep of Rainy River
13-3 Win
Adyson Brady and Keely Thornton led the offensive attack in game one. Brady had four hit in as many at bats, she tripled twice, stole a base and drove in a run. Thornton had three hits, two of them were doubles and drove in 3 runs. Taidyn Lalonde had one hit, a home run and drove three runs. Vienna Vandal tallied two hits, drove in a run, and had a stolen base. Jaelyn Grant had a run batted in and stole a base. Emanuell Weber had a hit and an RBI and two stolen bases. Kaisee Witnicki had a stolen base. Thornton got the win in the circle throwing all five innings and striking out three.
15-12 Win
The Jacks bats stayed hot in game two Aislyn Richard had four hits, three of them being doubles and the fourth being a triple and drove in four runs. Brady, Weber, Grant, Lalonde, and Witnicki all also tripled. Witnicki also had a solo home run, and two stolen bases. Brady and Grant each were credited with stolen bases as well. Richard got the win entering the game in the bottom of the seventh inning and striking out all three batters on just nine pitches.
