Jacks Reach Century Mark in Win Over Jimmies

The Lumberjack Men's Basketball team rebounded from a slow start to cruise past the University of Jamestown JV team 100-70.

The Jimmies came out firing, knocking down 5 3-pointers in the opening four and half minutes to take a 16-7 lead and force a DCB timeout. Out of the timeout the Jacks responded at both ends of the floor with a 10-0 run to take a lead they wouldn't surrender. Down the stretch of the first half the Jacks took full control, thanks in part to some strong bench play Kayde McKeon scored 14 points on 5-5 shooting including four three pointers. MarQuez Tyree had another nice half, scoring 8 points and pulling down 3 offensive rebounds. At the break DCB led 55-40.

In the second half the Jacks had segments where they struggled to score but did their job at the defensive end to not allow the Jimmies to get back into the game. 10 different Lumberjacks scored in the second half enroute to a 100-70 victory.

Damjan Tapuskovic led all scorers and four Lumberjacks in double figures. The Jacks' other three double figure scorers all came off the bench McKeon finished with 18 points, Tyree added 14, and Elijah Reynolds scored 10 fresh off being named Mon-Dak Player of the Week. Caleb Rosendahl led the Jimmies with 16 points.

DCB improves to 15-5 overall. The Jacks host United Tribes in a big Mon-Dak and Region 13 showdown on Monday. Tip-off is set for 7:30p.m.
