The Lumberjack Women's Hockey team split a pair of tight games this pat weekend against the University of Jamestown, winning 2-1 in overtime on Friday and falling 2-1 on Saturday.
2-1 OT Win
Calleja Misson got the scoring going for the Jacks less than 3 minutes into the first period with an unassisted goal. The Jimmies tied the game up less than two minutes later. The teams would not surrender a goal the remainder of regulation. Four minutes into the overtime period Misson scored again to give the Jacks the win, Maya Mortensen and Macy Wither assisted. Olivia Vaagen got the win in net for the Jacks with 20 saves.
2-1 Loss
In day two of the doubleheader the Jimmies scored a goal in each of the first two periods to take a 2-0 lead into the third. With a little less than eight minutes remaining in the game Danee Crepeele got the Jacks on the board thanks to assists from Randell Banga and Ffion Devonald. DCB failed to score again, falling 2-1.
With the split the Jacks record moves to 3-2-1-0. This coming weekend the Jacks travel to Nebraska with games on Friday and Saturday set for 6:00p.m. and 3:00p.m. respectively.
