The Lumberjack Men's Hockey returned to "The Lumberdome" for the first time since November to kick off their final homestand of the season. The Jacks fell to the University of Jamestown 6-2.
The Jimmies scored 4 goals in the opening period and added one just past the halfway point of the second period to take a 5-0 lead. Carter Ralston got the Jacks on board a little more than a minute later, Coen Schmeichel had the assist. Ralston netted his second goal of the game just 13 seconds later on a powerplay, Riley Opperude, and Gage Fox assisted. Just before the buzzer of the period the Jimmies scored to make the score 6-2. There was no scoring in the third period giving Jamestown the 6-2 victory.
With the loss DCB falls to 5-16-0-0 overall. The Jacks close out their homestand Saturday and Sunday at 7:00p.m. and 1:00p.m. respectively with a pair of games against the University of Minnesota Crookston. Sophomore night will be Saturday night prior to puck drop.
