Dakota College at Bottineau won their home opener against the University of Jamestown Jimmies Friday night at the Lumberdome. Ian Amsbaugh started the scoring for the Jacks at 9:31 in the first period as he rifled one past the Jimmies netminder. 0:21 seconds later Zane MacDonald tipped a Pierce Martin point shot to make it 2-0 for the home team. Will Yates made it 3-0, 0:32 later. Before the period ended the Jimmies struck twice to make it 3-2 after the first. The Jacks scored 3 times in the second period from Tanner Clyne, and a pair from Phillip Parisien. In the third Ryan Patterson scored for the Jacks who won the game 7-3. Jordan Berschiminsky go the win for the Lumberjacks who improve to 3-1-1 and will now head down to Mandan on Wednesday to play the University of Mary.
