Bemidji, MN - The Ladyjacks traveled to Bemidji, MN to play Oak Hills Christian College on Tuesday, October 10th. After Tuesday's game, Dakota College at Bottineau improved their record to 3-13. They beat OHCC in 3 sets: 25-23, 25-14, and 25-17.
In the first set, the Ladyjacks gave up 23 points due to errors. In the final two sets, DCB minimized their errors and focused on playing smarter resulting in two games won with large point margins. Coach Scherr was very pleased with the effort the girls gave on the court after a long bus ride.
The offensive attack was led Victoria Obergfell with 9 kills and Savannah Gust with 6. They, along with others, were set up by Abbey Franklin who led the team in assists with 15. Defensively, Rebecca Helmeczi rose up and had 3 solo blocks.
The Ladyjacks are in action again on Thursday, October 12th. They will face off against Mon-Dak opponent, North Dakota State College of Science. The game will be held on DCB's campus in the Woodshed at 7:00 PM.
