The DCB Jacks football team evened their record at 2-2 after a 24-6 victory over Ridgewater College. The Jacks scored their first touchdown early in the 1st quarter on a highlight reel punt return by Leviticus Fielder. Fielder received the punt at his own 26 yard line and narrowly avoided an early tackle to break free down the left side before scampering for a 74 yard TD. Alex Knoebel kicked the extra point to make it 7-0 Jacks. Knoebel would round out the scoring in the 1st half with a 24 yard FG making it 10-0 Jacks.
The third quarter saw the Jacks passing attack have some success with a drive culminating with a two yard up-the-middle TD run by Thorton Cain. That drive prodcued the Jacks first consistemt passing attack of the game as Jackson Argoe completed passes of 14,34 and 20 yards on his way to a 13 for 30 day finishing with 208 yards passing. The cold and wind certainly made the passing attack difficult.
Jalen Tolbert added a TD in the fourth and Knoebel added the PAT to put the Jacks up 24-0. The lead allowed the Jacks to play a lot of players in the last quarter. Ridgewater added a TD in the last 4 minutes but missed the PAT.
The Jacks added 80 yards on the ground to finish with 288 yards on offense. Ridgewater gained 235 yards through the air but just 34 yards on the ground. With the Jacks run defense controlling the line of scrimmage Ridgewater QBs were forsed to pass. The Jacks put pressure on Ridgewater all day picking up 4 sacks and an interception by Justin Michel.
